The interview process was efficient. The binder I sent her was immediately given back to her by the interviewer, a young man she said. He had only one question, "How did you meet"? That was the perfect question considering I used to live and work there, after that he had no more questions.
She said the staff was polite, everything was quick, the only issue with her was that she was told the barcode and some info on her DS-156 form was wrong or unreadable. The best I can tell only the barcode was messed up, but she said some 'visa consultant' who does this often at the embassy advised her to make the following changes. She was told that she should change the answer from intended stay duration from permanent to 90 days, and the question regarding work intentions to say after work permit obtained. They accepted the forms so I'm assuming it was either good or irrelevant advice.
The one complaint my fiance did have was that they wouldn't allow her mother to accompany her inside. Not knowing how long it would take, her Mom ended up waiting outside in the cold for hours. This situation certainly could have been avoided even after being denied entry, but the general comment was that the British embassy was much more comfortable and welcoming. While not a concern for future applicants with regards to their visa adjudication, it is a complaint she mentioned everytime I asked what she thought overall. Therefore 4 of 5.
