We are going to do this review in both English and Spanish.
~Vamos a decir lo que paso en Ingles y Español tambien.
First, we felt very safe in Juarez. We stayed in a house through an AirBNB - the price was cheaper, we had access to great food, and we could walk to/from the consulate in less than 30 minutes.
~Primero, nos sentimos muy seguros en Juarez. Nos hospedamos en una casa de huesped con AirBNB - a un precio barato, podimos conseguir comida y podiamos llegar al consulado caminando a solo 30 minutos.
We never received our P4 letter, so we arrived a day early to go to the consulate information window and have it printed. You need this letter for all of your appointments, so it is very important. We had it printed there without a problem - you just need to provide your interview appointment confirmation that you can get from the CEAC website.
~No recibimos nuestro carta P4, entonces llegamos un dia antes al consulado y fuimos a la ventana de informacion y ellos nos la dieron. Esta carta se necesita para todos los tramites (muy importante). La conseguimos sin ningun problema, solo necesitan de mostrar su cita del entrevista del consulado que pueden imprimir del internet CEAC.
We did our medical appointment with Servicios Medicos de la Frontera. You need your passport, P4 letter, and vaccine record (if you have it). You wait in the lobby, and then they bring you to the lab in a van (your spouse can accompany you there). There they take the papers we mentioned earlier and you wait to enter. First, they check your lungs. Second, they take your blood, check your weight and height, then check your eyesight. Then you go to another room and strip down to your underwear. Then they take your blood pressure and ask: "Do you have tattoos? Surgeries? Have you had problems with the police? Have you used drugs? Do you drink alcohol?" Then they gave him 4 vaccines - TDap, MMR, Varicella, and the flu (just because it's flu season). Then you pay for everything (our including vaccines was $450) And that's it! The people were very friendly the whole time. We had our appointment at 10:00 AM and they gave us the results at 3:30 PM. They tell you right away if you had problems or not, so you can feel more relaxed once you have the sealed package.
~Nostros hicimos nuestra cita con Servicios Medicos de la Frontera. Solo nesicitas tu pasaporte, carta P4, y cartilla de vacunas si tienes. Tienes que esperar en el lobby, y ellos te llevan al laboratoria en un camioneta (tu esposo(a) te puede acompañar). Ellos reciben tus papeles y esperas que te llamen. Primero, checan tus pulmones. Segundo, prueba del sangre, despues checan tu peso, altura y tu vista. Despues te llevan a un cuarto que tienes que quitar tu ropa solo quedas en boxer. Alli te toma la precion y pregutan "Tienes tatuajes? Cirugias? Tienes problemas con la policia? Usas drogas? Tomas alcohol?" Despues vas a tus vacunas. Al final tienes que pagar en caja(nuestro con 4 vaccunas fue $9060 pesos), y eso es todo! Cuando pagas, ellos te dicen a que hora esta tu resultados. Ellos tambien dicen si tienes problemas en tus resultados.
Biometrics. Our appointment was 12:10, but we arrived at 11:30. They let him enter immediately. You need your passport, the P4 letter, and the DS-260 confirmation. You can't bring anything else with you. They take your fingerprints and that's it.
~Huellas digitales. Nuestra cita era 12:10 pero llegamos 11:30. Ellos dejaron pasar inmediatamente. Necesitas tu pasaporte, la carta P4, y la confirmacion de DS-260. No permitan acceso a otra persona. Solo toman tus huellas y eso es todo.
The interview!! His appointment was 7:15 AM. We arrived 6:40 AM. You need your passport, P4, medical results, DS-260. You check with security to make sure you didn't bring anything extra besides papers and they give you a ticket with your number. You go inside and sit in a seat and they tell you what papers you need. Then they call you when it's your turn, and at the first window they take your original marriage license, birth certificates, police record and passport. They asked "What is your name? Where are your papers?" Then they tell you which seat to go to - green, black or blue. My husband was sent to the green chairs. Then you wait for your turn for the interview. The officer called my husband and asked for his papers. Then he asked, "What is your name? Who is petitioning for you? When did you get married? Do you have tattoos? Do you have problems with the police? Where are you going to live?" During the process he was looking at our papers. Then he said, "Congratulations, you are approved!" and gave my husband a green slip of paper for how he can track our package.
~La entrevista!! Teniamos la entrevista a la 7:15 pero llegamos 6:45. Necesitas inmediatamente tu pasaporte, carta P4, resultados medicos, y DS-260 confirmacion. Seguridad checa que no traes otras cosas y te dejan pasar. Despues de eso haces otras personas checan y te dan un numero. Despues entras y otros de seguridad revisan tus papeles. Engrapan un ticket y te pasan a la sala de espera. Alla un guardia te da instrucciones que papeles necesitas en la primer ventanilla. Despues de eso, te mandan a esperar en las sillas (verdes, negras o azules). Yo estaba en las verdes. Esperas tu turno y el oficial te llama. Revisa tus papeles. Te hace las pregunatas, como a mi - "Cual es tu nombre? Quien te pidio? Como se llama tu esposa? Cuando se casaron? Tienes tatuajes? Tienes problemas con la policia? Donde vas a vivir?" Durante el proceso el estaba mirando a todos nuestro informacion. Despues dijo "Felicidades, su visa esta aprobada!" y dio un papel verde para rastrear nuestro paquete.
