First of all, I want to thank everyone who helps by asking, answering or submitting reviews.... It may be few words for you but it means a lot of help for everybody else.
It was pretty much the usual interview recently at Cairo embassy for CR1 people.
- Arrived with my wife at the embassy by 7am, they kept us away from the gate on the other side till 7:30am when they told us to get into two rows on each side of the gate ... the one on your left (the far one) is for immigrant visas.
{{{Be early but not earlier than 6:45am --- Don't take any electronics or wires at all .. NOTHING! except for the mobile which you will give to the security inside the embassy --- make sure you have recent photos and the aramex paper or the people outside will cost you hundreds of pounds in vain}}}
- Security guy will check for your appointment then your aramex paper and photos .. if something is not right or not available he will direct you to go do it
if all good you will get in.
- Security inside will take your mobile, get your pockets emptied and your belt off then let you in and give you a ticket for he phone and the rest of your things and direct you to the same hall on the left down the stairs where you will be given a number and sit down until your number is called.
-About 15 minutes later, Egyptian woman called our number, greeted us, asked couple questions about when we married and such then asked for the originals of my civil documents: army record with translation, police certificate I had the old submitted to NVC one and a new one not translated or notarized and she took the new one,birth certificate and translation ,marriage certificate and translation, the two passport photos size and my passport ... then she gave us back all the additional papers, documents, photos and photocopies that were in our NVC package.
She said something about that our financial sponsor is not enough so we need another one but when I asked her if this was not enough income what would the required one would be she asked me to give her the transcripts again and looked at them then she said it is OK it works but the counselor officer may ask for another sponsor beside this.
{{{ I guess we should not be negative we should ask and inquire when they say something as it is obvious they are only humans and they make mistakes .... make sure you have photocopies of the documents and their translations as it is better to be safe than sorry}}}
- Went back and waited for about two hours before being called again to window 15 which is the same as the other windows except that it is in a separate room with a door.

- A 30ish white male greeted us and he was cheerful, asked how we are then he made me swear that all info in the application and I say is true then took my left hand fingerprints again and asked us few simple questions about how we met and when ... when we married ... if any of us was married before and if we have any kids and said that we must be planning to have them together then asked if both our families attended the wedding and we said no just mine he said he was sorry to know this and also asked about how much she stayed in Egypt with me and how many times she visited me .... then he typed some and took some white paper and write my name and case number on it and checked on AP and said we are all ok but the case needs further (GOD damn :@ ) administrative processing ... gave me my passport and said they would call if they need it or anything else ... I asked if there is any proof I can give or anything I can help with he said no you are totally ok .... so we left.
{{{ I think despite that I know he would not answer that but I should have asked what it is exactly if it is a security check like this SAO thing or something else abut my papers or my sponsor}}}
It is not that bad there but they should be quicker and more transparent about the process and checks especially that they had it already for a year so why did not they go make their security checks then!!
