I have already made a review for USCIS Memphis when I attended my AOS Interview a few years ago. Today I had to go for a different reason. I applied for the removal of conditions on my temporary green card over a year ago, and have heard nothing since. My NOAA1 extension is about to expire so I made an InfoPass to find out what's going on and what I can do.
The Memphis USCIS office has now relocated to 80 Monroe Avenue, 7th floor, downtown Memphis. For any of you with upcoming interviews, there is no parking at the actual building, but on the corner of Monroe and Union is a parking garage, located 100 yards from the building. Its very cheap to park there.
The building inside is beautiful... We both commented as you walk in it looks a lobby to a five star hotel. When you reach the 7th floor USCIS office is directly in front of you.
As normal, security were awesome. We have always found them to be humorous and extremely polite and professional. My appointment was 8am but we arrived at 7.20am. Never the less I was seen at 7.45am. The lady I saw was a great help, She gave me an I-551 stamp to extend my temporary green card by another year while my removal of conditions is still pending. I can now continue to travel outside of the united states and work. She also confirmed that cases were moving extremely slowly and Vermont had not reached my application yet. So the waiting game continues.
We have never had a bad experience with the Memphis office, they are quick with appointments and we have never been delayed. Staff always polite and friendly. The new location and the building is awesome.
