Like many others, I was very apprehensive about the interview at the Casablanca consulate due to the reputation for being very difficult. My fiance was interviewed by an American woman who was very nice. She asked him a lot of the standard questions you see on the list (included below) and his visa was approved that day. He was in there for about 15-20 minutes.

-how did you meet? (was asked to go into detail)
-how did we become engaged? (was asked to go into detail)
-did we think it happened too quickly?
-explain the age difference
-what does your fiance do for a living?
-what do you do for a living?
-when do you plan to get married?
-what do you plan to do when you get to the US?

We had pictures of us with his family and friends as well as screenshots of some Facetime chats with my family will I was visiting in Morocco, which I believe helped validate our case.

A side note for K-1 approvals. When you go to register your passport on traveldocs, you will need to file this under the CR-1 immigrant visa. The K-1 is not available due to a system glitch. The was confirmed to me by the consulate via email. Also read in the Casablanca consulate infoon this site for the best way to track the passport accurately through Aramex.

My best advice:
1- start preparing well in advance of the interview (we started months before). Your fiance will be under a lot of pressure and the more time you have practiced, the easier it will be for them to respond in a natural manner. This is particularly true for more complicated answers or those that might be viewed as red flags. Ours were explaining our age difference (I'm 11 years older than him) and whether we thought the engagement happened too quickly. I also had my fiance do two mock interviews with some straight-faced friends.

2- utilize the forums and people on this website. Reach out to members who have recently gone through your consulate to understand their experience. My best advice came from a member who's fiance was able to observe what other's were being asked while we was in there. We're all in this together!
