After reading some scary and horrifying reviews of this consulate, my fiance and I braced ourselves for the worst. However, we have had no problems with any part of the K1 process or the Consulate.

My fiance had his interview scheduled at 1:30pm on a Friday. He was home by 4pm.

He heard many other interviews, as the room has 6 windows that are not private and 1 office which is private. As such, we have some insight on other interviews, not just our own.

He was asked basic questions along with some other questions that he was well-prepared for.

He was approved on the spot and told that everything, the interview and the paperwork was perfect.

Here is all our advice:

1) PAY ATTENTION to the I-134 and the supporting document requirements. They really pay close attention to this
paperwork. The I-134 for you and, if you have one, a co-sponsor, MUST be original (no scans or copies).

2) You MUST include your tax info for the past 3 years for both you and
your co-sponsor. The easiest and best way is to look on the IRS
website and request 'Tax Transcripts'. Even if you did not file
taxes, you must still provide the Tax Transcript from the year(s)
that you didn't file, along with a statement of why you didn't file.

3) Do NOT include pictures and/or chats that were originally submitted by the US petitioner with the
I-129F. They don't appreciate this. If they ask to see pics, they want to see things that they haven't
already seen.

4) If your fiance doesn't have a pretty good command of the english language, have them ask for a
translator. One of the people who got approved used a translator and in fact, the translator probably
helped this girl get approved- the girl's answers in Arabic were all over the place and the translator
only gave the CO the specific answer from all the girl's ramblings!

5) Make sure to include chat logs, even if you have already included call logs. They may ask....

For my fiance, out of quite a few people who were there for the interview for the K1 visa, his interview was the only one that took place in the private office. The benefit to this was that he got to sit and relax and no one could listen to his interview. The non-basic questions were:

1) What are our wedding plans
2) How did we meet (on a dating app) and what settings did we both have selected on that app in order
to meet each other (in our case we both had the app set to worldwide)

He did not have to provide any pics, chat logs, call logs, flights or anything. We have been living together in Morocco for the past year, so I guess it was easier to prove that we have a bonafide relationship, plus I believe we were extremely thorough and definitely included all the evidence we needed to in the I129-F.

The CO was really, really friendly to him and treated him in a respectful manner.

Besides this, I think it pays to be really well prepared with all the questions that could be asked and make sure to try to think of anything that could be a 'red flag' to the CO ahead of time so you already have the correct (and true) answer and you're not caught off-guard.

I hope this will help all of you future interviewees and feel free to contact me if you have further questions!
