My husband (the benificiary) and I (the USC) showed up at 12:45 pm for our 1:00 pm interview. We went through the 1st security checkpoint and then were directed to walk up some stairs to go to the elevator to go to the 20th floor. Then we went through the next security checkpoint. They took the Package 4 letter. We were told to wait in a waiting room. There were 3 others there to be interviewed. We waited a total of 1.5 hours. In this time my husband submitted the papers in the order they ask for them (written on a sheet given to us at the 2nd security check point). When it was time for the interview they called us up. For our situation of married 12 years and two kids together, no previous marriages, good health and no criminal record it was pretty much a done deal. The officer asked about why we were moving down now. He asked about me working or Lyndon working. It was all very easy going and done in under 5 minutes. We said we would pick up the visa the next day and that was that. We returned the next day at 2:30pm and my husband went on his own to pick up the visa. He was back before I could even get half way through an article I was reading. Overall, a good experience with considerate staff. very friendly CO.
