Once we knew that our packet was at the embassy we paid the fee and submitted the DS-160 without waiting for packet three. We also emailed the consulate and asked them to send us packet 3 electronically so we would get it sooner-- which they did and we still got the hard copy of packet 3 too. Contacting them was an unnecessary step, but we were trying to speed up the process as much as possible.

I attended with my fiance. Our interview was scheduled for 8:30, and we arrived a few minutes early. There was a line at the side of the building we had to wait in. They let us in together, checked our passports, and we went through security. You cannot take in an big bag or liquid. No watches with GPS. IF you bring your phone you have to turn it off and leave it a security for pick-up when you leave. You are then sent downstairs where they scan your UID number and send you to a window to get a number. There is a separate group of windows for immigrant (including K visa) and non-immigrant visas. Only a couple couples were in front of us and a few more came in after. The majority had their fiance attend with them. I was a bit surprised how many attended as couples. They called us to the window a couple times over the course of 45 minutes or so--asking for paperwork (police report, passport, birth cert., medical report, last years tax return, and the financial support form/I-134) and then again to scan his finger prints.

After some waiting we were called to a different window for the interview. The whole interview took maybe 3 minutes. We were sworn in and asked a couple questions.. probably 3. They asked how he was able to have dual citizenship already (since he had some to the US using a passport other than his Polish one), how many times he had been to the US, and what he planned to do for work once in the US (we didn't have a very definite answer for this but it did not matter). She then approved us and explained the 90 day rule and that we needed to adjust status after the wedding. We were there 2 hours and 10 minutes total. Everyone was very friendly and we didn't encounter any problems.
