In general the consulate is organized and things went smoothly. The case was thoroughly reviewed. The person who took the papers gave my fiancé incorrect information about having to provide additional documentation and that he would have to apply for a different type of visa. But when the consular officer interviewed him he was very nice. My fiancé said the officer clearly wanted to be helpful and asked a lot of very detailed questions about our relationship, how many times and where we had seen each other, when we plan to be married and also questions about his ex-wife and daughter. In the end, the only thing that was missing was the police certificate. It had not arrived yet at the consulate. Once we submit the police certificate, the visa will be issued. My fiancé was out in about 2 hours.
