Everything runs well and fast.
My appointment is at 8am but i arrived at 6:40 and the line was ready filled up.
We were lined up outside the consulate. Around 7am, they opened and allowed people to get inside. 2 security guards checked the bag and scan body. After that we queued again but separated into 2 lines (Immigrant and Non-Immigrant)
But people got mixed, just followed the guidance of GREETER(group of guiders wearing orange shirts). Here I was given a white paper which will be asked to write HCM case number and passport detail. This we will have to keep, if Visa is approved we will use this to register EMS.
Next step is security scanning, put all bags thru scanning like in the airport, all cellphones would be kept here.
Leaving this room, I was taken to the next queue for fingerprints and take the order number (mine is 2048). From now on, we need to watch our the board which display number and counter.
1st interview: window 8
I met the very friendly and kind lady, she asked whether I have my medical exam. I handed her the result and she asked
- Is you fiance with you?
- What is petitioner's name?
- What is your birthday?
- Have you been in any country outside of Vietnam more than 6 months?
Then I gave her my packages of ORIGINALS, PHOTOCOPIES and AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT. She just took what she needed and returned the rest.
She then asked me to take the seat and waited for the call from window 14-20 for final interview.
2nd interview: window 18
the CO asked me to take an oath then fingerprints.
- Do you have photos? Give me
- When do you know each other?
- Have you known your fiance divorced before?
- Why divorced?
- Do you know when they got separated?
- What do you work in Malaysia?
- How many times you met your fiance?
- He took out my third trip's photos then looked each one of them and give me one photo: Where are the parents of your fiance?
Then he said: "Everything is great, your visa is approved. Hope you succeed in the US"
The interview has gone about 5 minutes in total.
They gave me all the pictures submitted with I-129F and asked me to come to EMS counter to register visa delivery.
Wow everything is good. Waiting time has paid off well.
now ready for my POE.
