My Interview was scheduled at 6:30AM but I was there before 6AM. I took a taxi from Ketu to the Embassy.
My Interview took about 3 minutes.
As the lady was greeting me she was handing over the documents that my fiancee submitted during the filing process.
Then she asked the following questions:
Have you gotten married before? I answered
Has your fiancee married before? I answered
When did you meet? I answered
How did you meet? As I was answering she brought out COLLECTING YOUR ISSUED VISA form and circled a DHL address in the FORM and I said should go there and pick up my visa in 10 days time.
I was supposed to be out off the Embassy in less than an hour 30 minutes but I ended up spending 2 hours 30 minutes. I was supposed to be the number 5 person to be interviewed but I ended up number 23 because I forgot to remove my BANK token that I kept in my bag and the security guys sent me out to go give it to someone outside. I went out and gave it to the police officers at the entrance and came back and I was asked to the end of the line. I really felt bad when that happened. I also felt bad because the lady did not give me the opportunity to present to her all the evidence (Whatsapp, Emails, Skype, videos, facebook communications and call history) I came with.
Our case is a special one, we were supposed to wed in Nigeria in May but the Hospital that my fiancee works with refused to grant her leave of absence to come to Nigeria for our wedding because she came to Nigeria in In December 2015 and spent 50 days before going back to the US in January. We actually met in Nigeria in a Church program when she came to Nigeria in December 2015, it was our first meeting. We fell in love after the program and decided to get married in Nigeria in May, but when she applied for leave of absence she was turned down. That was when heard about the K1 visa and filed. One of the things that I did that helped our case was that I asked her to get a letter from her job stating that they cannot grant her the requested leave of absence and she did. God was behind the whole thing from the beginning, because we took lots of pictures when she came to Nigeria. I am not the PHOTO type but she made sure we took hundreds of pictures before she left for America. She actually included 83 pictures in the form I129 when she was filing. I believe the pictures helped too.
I am 100% sure that they approved the visa before the interview even started.
One other thing I want to point out is that we did not receive any packet 3 or packet 4 by mail from the Embassy. My fiancee called NVC and they said that they have sent our case to Nigeria, then she wrote the Embassy by email requesting for the instructions by email and it was sent to her and she forwarded it to me. That was all. We didn't wait for them to mail them to us.
