Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam | Review on August 16, 2016: | WheretoBegin

Rating: | Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
For IR-1 Spouse Visa (married over 2 years with child)
We arrived at 7am and the line was already long. You can't miss it.
The security line moved fairly quickly. One guard (local Vietnamese security I believe) was less than friendly when asked a question, but the others were nice.
Once you get inside, there is another waiting line to go through security again (x-raying bags). From there there is another line while you wait to give them your information.
My wife waited inline alone while I went to the play area with my daughter. After about 45 minutes in line, she was given a number and we waited.
For our visa, it looked like there were 3 dedicated windows. It went fairly quick again. After they went through the paper work and gave us back what we didn't need, we had to wait for the interview.
The interview was quick, 2 or 3 questions. They didn't look at the pictures, likely because we have a daughter.
All told from start to finish (including waiting in line time) was just over 2 and half hours. Started at 7am and finished around 9:40am).
They do have people there to keep order and make sure no one jumps the queue which is nice. They have vending machines, clean bathroom and childrens play area.
