So my fiance had his interview scheduled for july 22 at 9am. He attended alone and said overall it took about 4 hours, so pretty fast compared to most ive read about. He said he saw two different ladies at different times and they both asked him where we would be getting married at. The actual interview they asked him about every question in the book. The following are questions they asked him...
What is your fiances name? (said they asked him this multiple times during interview)
How old are you? How old is your fiance?
What is her address?
Where will you be living?
Where are you getting married?
Does she have kids? (i do)
What are there ages?
Was she married before? (yes)
When was her divorce? (he answered he didnt really know, which he was being honest,as it was years ago and thats all he knew)
Who is sponsoring him? (we had a sponsor as i dont qualify alone)(also they asked for sponsors copy of photo id which we didnt have, but it didnt seem to make a difference)
Has he ever been to the US?(no)
Has he ever been outside of Jamaica? (yes)
Where to and for how long?
They looked at photos i had sent in with original packet about 10 of them, didnt look at the ones he took or proof he had taken of my visits. Asked him where one of the photos was taken.
Thats about it, he was approved!
Was told to pick up visa at DHL in about a week to 2.
Also would like to add that we had missed the first scheduled interview and had to reschedule which took about 3 weeks to get a new interview date. Original was scheduled june 30 and new interview scheduled july 22, so if you have to reschedule or miss its ok to once but make sure you have plenty of time for a new date!
