Nigeria | Review on July 6, 2016: | Unshakable Faith
Rating: | Review Topic: K1 Visa
First of all, let me express how valuable the information is here. I am posting the questions and our experience because I went through all the Lagos interview reviews and pulled questions that we practiced with and there was not a question that was asked that we had not practiced and went over. It really helped him to be able to answer with confidence. It's all about how well you know the person... there is no amount of practicing that will suffice without a true relationship!
We got there around 6am for our 6:30 interview, it was POURING down rain and we lined up. I stayed with him until he went into the building. I waited in the queue line for him because I wanted to see him as soon as he came out!
A man interviewed him and he said that he wasn't too overly friendly but he was pleasant.
Who petitioned you?
My fiance respectfully interjected to discuss some things from his past that he did not want to seem as if he was covering up. They spoke about it for a few minutes before the questions resumed.
How did you meet?
What does she do for a living?
When was she here?
Pictures?
Are you trying to buy me?
Are you doing this for immigration purposes?
3 things you like about your fiancee?
Plans for the wedding?
He gave him the approval papers along with a brown envelope that we think someone else picked up because my fiance accidentally left it out of excitement from our approval!
A week later he was called back for a second interview and given instructions to turn in additional paperwork that was needed to approve his visa.
God's grace and mercy is the only thing that gave us an approval and will be the only thing that gets our waiver approved as well. God is so, so good to us- even when we don't deserve it (because we never do!)
