We came prepared for everything and anything. We had duplicates of every document we submitted and thought we were prepared for the worse. We could not have been more surprised by the process. It took very little time, maybe 20 minutes. We were both sworn in, the officer asked for evidence of joint accounts, tax returns or anything that could prove we were a true married couple. I explained our problems getting my wife a social security card and therefore we did not have any joint accounts. Our marriage was in January, so not joint tax returns. Finally we showed recent photos of our trip across America to meet my daughter, son-in-law and new granddaughter. That did the trick. It was so easy that I was sure something was wrong. We were completely surprised and amazed at how easy and quick it was. A definite improvement over the application process.
