First off all I want to say that once my husband and I knew the date of the interview, we booked our flights and the hotel room.
I searched for the best reviews using whatever sites you can think of like Travelocity.
The day finally came, we arrived at El Paso Monday May 16, a friend picked us up from the airport and dropped us off at the border closest to the US consulate since we booked a hotel very close to everything.
The hotel I chose was Microtel and its right by everything. I payed around 325 for 5 nights.
I have to be honest and say that I was disappointed that they made us wait two hours to give us the room. Check in was at 3, there was a lot of people and even though we asked them twice, the forgot about us or they didn't like the fact we asked what was going on, and made us wait. Other than that the room are ok, not spotless, but good enough. They offer Wifi, cable TV, good breakfast in the morning. The one washer and dryer do not work, and the "gym" is tiny. There is not a fridge or microwave in the room.
Across from the hotel there is a mall, where we hung out everyday and watched movies. There's some ok food there also. The food from Denny's is good, but we tried a few Mexican spot around and I was not impressed. To get across the street is safer if you cross the bridge instead of running across. Drivers here are crazier than in the U.S.
To the right of the hotel you can see the clinics, on the same street of the hotel passing the first street to the right you will find the consulado, and a little further down you will find the fingerprint place in like a small shopping center.
If you have someone with you they make them wait out side.
On Tuesday May 17th my husband had the fingerprint appointment. You just need to be there maybe 5 minutes before. There's a security standing by the door, she changes the time and once you see your time on the door that's when you line up and she will let you in. Only the person with appointment.
On Wednesday May 18 my husband had the medical appointment at Medicos de La Frontera. We walked over to the building, they asked me to wait outside while my husband went in, so I went back to the room. He got there maybe an hour later. He said they take blood, give you shots if you don't have your shot record, and just check you. They also ask if you use drugs or if you are on medication. He did fine, they asked him to go back at 4 for his package.

The day of the interview I walked over with my husband and they said only the person with the interview could enter so again I went back to the room and waited. I had planned to go back and wait outside in an hour but he made it back to the room before I left.
He said he was interview by a lady, he asked her to do it in English.
She asked how did he enter the US, My full name, our daughters bday, when did we get married. If I worked, and where do we live. That was it, and he was approved.
He was told that he would receive the package at the address we gave, and they kept his passport and the DACA work permit that he had. The next day May 21 we caught our flight to San Luis Potosí to wait for the package. On Wednesday May 26, we went to the DHL office and it had just arrived.
We stayed several days more and we took a flight Home. When you are approved they tell u to wait for the package and not to open it, to turn it in when you cross. Well, my husband had to open it at the airport because they need the passport in order to give you the boarding pass. There's only the Mexican immigration there and they don't open it.. We are now on the plane flying back home, thank God!

We got to the airport I as a US citizen had to go through one line for immigration and my husband through an other part where he had to turn in the package. They received it, looked through the papers and asked a few questions and Welcomed him home. He was there about 30 minutes and everything went well.

I think that a lot of people make negative comments and give wrong information just because they want to scare us, or are jealous of the people that are going through the process. We were told we needed more than 10,000 dollars, that it might take us 2 or 3 months to be able to return. But, it wasn't so bad. In the two weeks we were in Mexico we didn't spend more than 3000 in everything and that's because we went out, ate out and bought stuff. That money was used for 3 flights that we took, car rental, hotel, food, and going out. Don't be scared or discouraged, and Good Luck. I hope that I have answered some of your doubts please feel free to comment if you have any questions.
I will try to attach pictures so that you can get familiarized with the place in Juarez.
