My husband had his interview this morning at the Lagos Consulate in Nigeria and was approved! Here's the review based on his account of the events:

He arrived at the embassy at about 8:30am, interview was scheduled for 10am.
He thought he couldn't go inside prior to the interview time, so he waited until a little bit before 10am before entering. He later realized that other people had gone in prior to their scheduled time and were allowed in.

Once inside he waited for about 3 hours to be called. He was beginning to feel forgotten as he saw others being called, but not him.(God had a plan )

Finally a nice man called him over to the window to check his documents and said to him: "I've been watching and I know that you've been waiting, but I just wanted to give you special attention". My husband said it's like he purposely had him waiting, based on how he said it.

He collected original documents from my husband such as his birth certificate and marriage document. Then he was instructed to go back and sit down. Less than 3 minutes later he was called for the interview.

A nice woman interviewed him and was flipping through the documents that were sent at the USCIS and NVC stage. She asked the following questions:

What year did you meet your wife?
Was your wife married before?
How old is your wife?

She continued to flip through the documents and was even giving him back some documents. She complimented that she loved our wedding cake. She then told my husband that we are approved and she gave him a piece of paper and circled an address where he can pick up the visa in about 2 weeks. She said that even if it takes a bit longer than two weeks to give them time, but he will definitely receive it.

The whole interview took less than 5 minutes. My husband never even had to open his accordion folder that contained all of the documents, proof and pictures that we prepared specifically for the interview. He said that the interview officer was kind of set apart by herself, away from the other officers. She didn't take as many interviews as the others did so he didn't even think she'd be the one to interview him! He also said it wasn't really busy because today was just for immigrant visas. He was one of the last ones to be interviewed.

While he was there he noticed several other people getting denials, he even saw the man that interviewed him back in 2014 when we were denied a K1 visa. He was sitting there praying that he wouldn't be the one to interview him and thank God he wasn't! God just took control of the whole thing, from the time he arrived until the end! Praise God!!!
