After being delayed for the 1 year ban my husband has finally been approved! javascript:emoticon('')
His first trip to CDJ we stayed at the Ibis hotel. The second day he did his fingerprints and medical exam. After 2 days he had his interview where he was given a blue sheet stating that he would have to re do his medical exam 1 year after his first exam date.
We tried contacting the consulate several times during the year to find out what he'd have to do in order to go prepared and not waste a trip. They always said the exact thing on the blue sheet and were no help. I sought out others with similar situations and they had actually been told what they needed to do.
Fo our case since it would have been 1 year since his interview he had to re do the DS 260 before going and pay the fee in person. Just in case I re did the forms and gave him the new taxes to take.
He did his medical exam at medicos de visas and he went at 8 am Tuesday with an appointment and was not given his results until Thursday after 4pm. Luckily he went on Wednesday to the consulate and asked for an interview because he was confirmed that he would be getting his results in person this time. He was able to get in scheduled for that same Friday at 8.
The day of his interview the time went quickly. He waited to be called with a group and was told which chairs to go to and where to pay before lining up to be interviewed. He was asked for only my taxes and no other forms. He was asked typical questions about our relationship and the co sponsor and if he had ever been to the U.S. afterwards the man gave him the green sheet saying he was approved and should receive his packet via DHL within 5 days.
I have checked the CEAC website for an update and it says "updated" on the day of his interview but has not changed from refused. We will be calling Monday to ask why it has not updated. The waybill number has also not shown up on the other website in order to track the package. So Monday he will be calling the Call Center first then the consulate. Hopefully the CEAC website is just a glitch. javascript:emoticon('') I need him to be here soon before our baby is born hopefully!
