INITIAL INTERVIEW ON 3/30/2016

My daughter arrived on time around 6am to prevent the anticipated long line. She was allowed to enter before 7am. She returned the requested originals. Upon the review of the original, the receptionist asked for the medical report and she replied that the doctor’s office was supposed to deliver it directly to the consular. She was turned away because of the missing report.

She contacted the doctor’s office and they confirmed that the report was delivered two days ago (before the initial interview date). They also gave her a copy of the delivery/receipt confirmation letter as proof of delivery.

Since the consular was not far from the doctor’s office, she was able to return to the consular within minutes (half an hour) after she had left. However, she was not allowed to reenter to make the argument and they again told her to wait for the consular to call her with a new interview date as soon as the medical report is received and on file.

Soon after she left the consular for the second time, she received a phone call from the doctor’s office who confirmed that the medical exam was completed successfully and the report was delivered to the consular. The doctor personally called the consular and they confirmed that the report was finally received and on file. We are now waiting for the consular to call us with a new interview date, which we hope, is not going to be too far back.

So far, our experience with the consular was unsatisfactory because the receptionist did not even check and confirm that the report was indeed not received or received not on file.
