My interview was great! The Consul was very polite, nice and friendly. I arrived in the US EMBASSY at 2:05pm (wayyy too early but it's weekend in Bahrain- Thursday- I had to avoid the traffic). The security asked me to wait and he let me in at 2:40pm. My interview should be at 3pm but I got called around 4:20pm. The Consul greeted me with smile "How are you? Thank you for your patience, you have waited too long!" There were 5 applicants inside and not crowded as I think every Thursday after 1pm is usually the interview time for Immigrant visa only.
The following questions has been asked to me by the US Consul:
1. Who is the petitioner?
2. Is he your fiancé?
3. How frequent do you talk to each other? ( I answered her- "everyday! I couldn't count!" Then she smiled at me)
4. How long your relationship before he proposed to you?
5. When did you get engaged?
6. How did you meet?
7. What's his job?
8. So, he was in Bahrain when you met him?
9. Did you live to any country other than Bahrain and Philippines?
10. Did you submit to us your Police Certificate from Philippines (NBI)? (She couldn't find it, that's why she asked but Ms. Joyce (US Consultant Specialist) heard her and helped her to find it and she gave it to her)
11. Does your fiance has children? (i answered - NONE!)
12. And you? ( None! )
13. Have you ever been married? (NO!)
14. How about your fiancé? (No!)
15. Where do you work?
16. Where does your fiance live?
17. How old are you when you started living in Bahrain?
18. Do you have any photos with you? ( i answered her "YES!" And handed over her 8 photos, year 2013, 2014 & 2015) she asked me where the photos was taken, who are the people with us,. )
I was confident that I'm gonna pass in this interview when she looked at the last photo, and asked me-- where's this place? I told her "at Amwaj Island" and she said --" yah! i knew it. Look familiar! You two are cute in this photo!" And she smiled Then I have responded her with smile too "Thank you"
The consul was smiling while she was looking on our photos 😊 She look tired but she still managed to be cheerful & polite I was the last applicant that she interviewed and it lasted for 6 minutes only.
And finally-- she told me with smile on her face "so that's it! You answered all the questions and you submitted all the required documents! These are all we need! It's approved! We will call you once your visa is ready for collection. I'm going to put it in the system now." I replied her "Thank you very much! Have a nice day!"
*before the consul started asking me questions, she asked me to raise my right hand and she read the oath* then in order for her to verify my information in their system, she asked me to put my left fingers first & then right fingers on biometric fingerprint scanner.
I left at 4:26pm.
