To whom it may concern,
My future husband went for the K1 interview on 02.22.2016 in Casablanca, Morocco at 8:30 am. He brought with him all the necessary documents he was told to bring. At the first window he handed them his documents, passport and 2 years of my taxes and the I134 sheet that explains about income that I make. He brought a binder full of documents about our ongoing relationship: Lots of pics, Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp, and Skype logs, as well as emails, letters and packages. We had quite a lot because we are constantly in communication any time day or night. He also had all the income type documents: more taxes, W-2’s, paystubs, 12 months bank statements, as well as employee verification letters.
He said he expected to wait a long time and he did. He was the last one to be seen and was sent to window 7. He was greeted by two women and there was a chair to sit in and glass separated them. He said that he was asked several simple questions such as how did we meet, what do we have in common, why do we want to live in the U.S., how old are my kids and then she asked how old my daughter was and did he know the age difference between them. He said 8 years. I don’t know it seemed as if she was saying there was something wrong with us being 13 years apart. We don’t care and have every right to be together. I can honestly say that I have never felt any age difference between us.
The Consular Officer handed him a white 221g form that was circled only with Admin Review. She said that they will call him and for him to pick up his passport. He even asked just to know for sure if he was being denied. She said no. He also asked if they would look at our book and all she said was I don’t need to see it. He said we worked so hard and getting all of our documents together. She just kept saying she didn’t need to see it.
I did some research and found out that there are color codes for the 221g and was wondering if anyone can help us to decipher what the 221g white form could mean. How long does this processing take? Has anyone else experienced them not looking at all your documents when you offered to show them? I read somewhere that they may still ask for the documents and then it would eventually get approved. I also saw that sometimes when people are given their passports back they are eventually officially denied. Up until now we have had smooth sailing in this journey. We were both blindsided and felt like we were punched in the gut! All we want to do is be together. In the end if I have to I will move to Morocco. I just didn’t ever want to leave my 4 kiddos and granddaughter. Any help anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated.
