My wife's AOS interview was scheduled for Aug 31 at 9:30am.

We arrived at the Bloomington office at 9am and passed through security. They sent us up to the the floor above and we dropped off our interview notice at the reception window. The receptionist unlocked the door and we entered the waiting room. There were around 15 to 20 people waiting for their names to be called.

At around 9:50am a gentlemen came through a locked door and called our names. He greeted us very pleasantly and ushered us down the hallway to his office. We took a seat and he started thumbing his way through our file (which was about 3 to 4 inches thick) and swore us to tell the truth.

He asked us a few questions:

1) What is our address?
2) Where did we meet?
3) What I do for a living?
4) How long we knew each other before we were engaged?
5) A few questions from the application (deported before, drugs, .etc...)

The only things he wanted to see was:
1) My wifes passport and ID
2) My ID
3) Our pictures together (We had over 500). I think we convinced him to visit Mexico after seeing our albums.

The only things he wanted to add to the existing file were:
1) My employment letter
2) My 2004 tax return
3) He took both her AP and EAD.

He did check my wife's medical and vaccination supplement (had problems finding the supplement because it was already taken out of the sealed envelope by whoever puts together the file - sigh of relief)

The interview was very laid back and the immigration officer was very nice. It was actually very enjoyable telling our history because he seemed very interested.

I asked him to stamp my wife's passport with the temporary green card stamp (I-551) because she was leaving today to fly back to Mexico to get her dress fit for our religious ceremony in Puerto Vallarta. He said "No problem" and promptly stamped a blank page (it is good for 1 year).

Hope this helps and don't lose any sleep about the interview.
