Guangzhou, China | Review on January 31, 2016: | slamson

My fiance had an interview with her 3 year old little boy. She went to Guangzhou two days before the interview with her son and her mother. They stayed in the Quangji hotel, a walking distance of 20 minutes from the embassy. It was a nice hotel, very clean. On the day of the interview, she arrived one hour before her interview time. She stood in line and waited for the opening. Only my fiance and her son were allowed to enter the embassy and they went through a security check (no cellphone, belt and necklaces removed, no writing pens, etc.). Only paperwork is allowed and one's glasses. She was given a number and had to wait to be called for her interview (she was given priority since her son was with her).
The embassy employee only spoke Chinese to my fiance, although she was prepared to answer him in English.
She was asked about my name, my job, how we met, questions about my family, and our wedding plans. Her son wasn't asked any questions.
The inteviewer was very friendly, even with my fiance's son. The interview only lasted about 15 minutes. At the end of the interview, she was told that she "passed". She was very surprised and happy about this.
