A true disaster. Fiance left folder of document originals in hotel room. And folder of original documents did not contain the original police certificates. Consul officer spoke very poor Russian and fiance later thought that she probably spoke Russian too fast for him to understand her properly. Russian consul spent 20 minutes interviewing finance with questions that had a tone of distrusting that a real relationship exists. Our 13 year age difference was an important issue to be discussed. No questions were asked of 19 year old K-2 applicant who speaks English very well. Basically, poor preparation by both the Consul and the fiance. In the end, after a month of administrative processing, 100% of all Skype logs for all time in relationship were required for review by Consul. Good news, visa issued after this disastrous interview.
