Rating:
Review Topic: K1 Visa

MEDICAL:
* They are now asking for 5 cedula sized photos; not passport sized.
* Take lots of Quetzales for payment (Fiancée paid close to Q2,000 total including immunizations) as they won't take dollars unless you got the exact amount and in $100 bills.
* It takes 2 days to complete because the X-Rays are done elsewhere so they will make you come back the next day for the immunizations.
* The second trip to the doctor's office will take all day so be prepared.
* Ask for copy of immunization form which is needed for AOS later on.

This is CRITICAL for success:
* Wait for embassy to contact the beneficiary (Packet 3) before scheduling the interview appointment (otherwise they will cancel your appointment anyways)
* Make sure the beneficiary knows their way around all forms & paperwork (CO could not find the I-134 form in our package and stressed out my fiancée asking for it in English even though the interview was conducted in Spanish)
* Practice, practice, and practice again the possible interview questions until the beneficiary feels comfortable answering them in a timely manner.
* My fiancée was only asked very few and easy questions (3 in total) but she did hear other COs grilling people with more difficult ones.
* This embassy will let you fill out simple missing forms there as long as they don't require a wet signature from the petitioner.

Security Guard will check for:
* Valid passport
* Appointment Confirmation
* Medical Exam Results

After going through security:
* Make sure stand in line at the "Resident" line
* A number will be issued indicating your turn
* You will be asked to show Police and Criminal History certificates
* A blank form asking for contact info needs to be filled out (Name, phone numbers, etc... since no phones are allowed inside it's best to have a piece of paper with this info written with you already)
* You will be called to the different booths to present paperwork
* They will ask for a print-out of your Cargo Express office of choice to deliver your documents
* Passport-style photos (Take as many as 6 with you) will be requested to be included with your case
* Firgerprints will be taken
* After all of the above the interview takes place

Things to take with you:
* Pen
* Have on hand contact info (Phone numbers, address, etc..)
* Food (A snack before entering the building as it may take a while)
* Several passport-style photos
* Glue to attach pictures to forms

Overall Review: This embassy is easy to work with and they were pleasant to my fiancée.
