Hi,
Finally it is approved!!! Thank You VJ!!
I am happy to share my experience to all
Medical
I think the best place to take medical is NMC. Initially I called Mideast Polyclinic to take my medical and they said AED 1200.00 for doctor’s fee and vaccination extra. The same day I happened to read Jobinj00780’s(Thank You) review in VJ and contacted NMC, Abu Hail. No matter how many vaccinations have you taken in past, you will still have to take some vaccinations. I have no idea about the criteria. Anyway they have suggested me to take 3 vaccines.
They measured my height, weight, eyesight, x-ray, blood and finally doctor asked me 20-30 questions. And that’s it. Since I had more than 2 weeks for the interview they requested me for 5 days to provide the medical report. And after 5 days I collected the report.
Interview
After the weekend I took 2 days off from office. As I searched in google, Hayatt Capital Gate hotel was more near to US embassy. So I booked the room and checked-in on Sunday afternoon. Evening I went out to find the US Embassy and realised that google is not true. Few other cheaper hotel are also there near Embassy. Anyway I enjoyed staying in there.
The big day I woke up around 5 O’clock in the morning and reached the embassy around 6.00 AM. I thought I will be the first person in the Q. Surprisingly I was 30th person. It was very nice climate outside and I got a seat also. Around 7.15 AM a security Guard came there and told everyone not to take the bag inside. Even if it is small ladies bag still they will not let you in. One elder lady in her 60s or 70s was having a small hand bag. She requested to the security guard so many times to carry the bag inside but still they did not let her in. They told her to take a taxi and keep the bag in Carryfour super market nearby or her room. So anyone going for interview please do not carry any bag.
By 7.45 AM security official called immigration category to Q up. And started calling inside. Showed my passport and interview letter to an official and then directed to security check room. Mobile phone should be switched off. Mobile, car keys other electronic devices are not permitted to inside. We need to keep it in the security room and you will get a token to collect those thing when you are leaving. So after security check we were directed to another room and waited there. After 10 minutes they send me to the main embassy building. When you enter the securities again check your passport and appointment letter and then they give you the token number. All the process are based on that token number. My number was 608. I (all immigrant visa applicants) was told to sit and wait in front of 7, 8 and 9 counters. I was 9th applicant. By 8.15 AM they started calling the immigrant visa applicants starting with 600. By 8.45 AM my number appeared on the screen to counter number 7. A beautiful young lady greeted with smile. She asked me for all original civil documents which we submitted in visa process. Passport, Marriage Certificate, Birth Certificate, Police clearances, Medical and photo. She returned me all the copies which we sent before for the process (Since my police clearance has expired as per UAE rule (3 months validity) I have taken a latest one. And given them both expired and new PCC. Also for medical you will get 2 packets from the hospital. They take one packet only. The other one we need to submit on POE I guess. ). And then she told me to wait for Biometric at counter number 10. I waited around 20 minutes and then around 9.15 my number been called to the biometric counter. Silly process, finger print scan is done.
Again waiting and then I heard a lady calling 600 for interview. It was a family. I waited around 20-25 minutes and finally my token number got called.
VO was a very smart and pleasant lady, wished me with a good smile and wish and I wished her back. She asked me the below questions.
How long you been married?
How did you meet her?
How many times your wife visited you after marriage?
How long you been working in Dubai?
I have answered all the questions and finally she gave me a pink slip and told me to collect it on Wednesday. And gave me back original docs excluding PCC and passport.
Total time for the interview is less than a 5 minutes.
I got out from embassy by 9.45 AM
And that’s my experience
