I had my interview yesterday and got approved :star:

Of course, on days you need to be somewhere at a specific time and it's pretty important you make it there, guess what, traffic is horrific. roadwork and a stranded vehicle on I-264. Great. I was already paniking, we'd never make it in time.

We had been scheduled for 11:15, arrived at 11:00 and barely got to sit down in the waiting area, when Officer Jones called us up. Wow... I've never been called up before the actual scheduled time ANYWHERE.

She led us into her office just by a huge copying machine and made us swear that we'd say the truth in this interview. My husband is in the Navy, so for the next five minutes she asked him about how he likes it and whether he had been to Iraq yet.

Then she went through the whole I-485 list... whether I was going to overthrow the US government or train terrorists (in what? knitting?). Noooooooo... none of the above.

She asked for all supporting documents we had brought in... utility bills, car insurance, life insurance, renter's insurance, rental agreement... anything that has both our names on it.

Finally she put her stamp into my passport while saying "this is the only case I have approved all day."

All in all we were in and out within half an hour and went for lunch to celebrate.

Hope everyone else has good experiences like this with Norfolk
:D
