I was very nervous about attending my interview; even though I was entirely organised in terms of paperwork the magnitude of what this interview meant for my future was enough to make me feel physically sick. I needn’t have worried though. I arrived the recommended 15 minutes prior to my interview. My name wasn’t on the scheduled list (a big blank line where mine was meant to be) so the lady examined my email confirmation and with a few phone calls was able to get me organised. I went through security and my bag was checked (you get a number so you can collect your belongings later). Despite the number of staff working security everyone was friendly and it wasn’t intimidating. Next a woman went through my paperwork, sorting out only what was necessary into a folder for me. I sat down for all of two minutes before I was escorted to the elevator and sent to level 59. There you check in once more and take a ticket. It feels like you’re waiting forever to be called but it was maybe half an hour for me. The lady checked my documents, took my fingerprints and then sent me onwards for my interview. Everyone seemed to be a good mood which really helped my nerves. I took an oath that everything was true to my knowledge; answered some questions as to our relationship and was done in about ten minutes. Given the nod of approval and documents on the way back to me next week. Hooray!
