So, we arrived an hour early and just sat around in the main lobby on ground floor when we decided to go up about thirty minutes before the interview. We went through security on Floor 10 (have your cell phone off), and then up to floor 59 in about three seconds. We walked in an took a number. We were called to the first part where a pretty grumpy lady sat and wasn't helpful at all (I had emailed a couple times and was told that my questions would get answered at the consulate). I asked her in the simplest way possible and this woman only seemed to want to give me attitude, because she couldn't understand what I was saying. She FINALLY helped me out, and pretty much made me feel stupid, because the US government doesn't know how to be helpful in such a horrible process (really the K-1 I absolutely ridiculous).
After about an hour of waiting we were then called to another window where a very cheerful lady asked my partner a few simple questions, and voila! The visa was approved.
There was absolutely no privacy considering we could hear every other interview being held that day--which was pretty embarrassing, because a guy had been denied his visa because he was convicted with theft and larceny, and then handed another form and told to file that and things would go from there. He then walked out hiding his face.
