K1 Interview.
His interviewer was the young blond girl. He took the interview in English.
She asked....
When did your financee move to __________?
Was she married before?
What was his name?
What were you doing on the website where you met?
When did you meet her?
Who proposed?
How long did yo know her before you proposed?
Do you still talk to people on that website?
What does she do for a living?
Since she is a student, how does she pay her bills?
The interview went well, but he got a 221g. It wasn't a big deal, they wanted the court report to say "nothing" instead of having a line going thru the spece indicating no criminal record. Apparently this has happened quite a bit to other people - so make sure it says unequivocable, "nothing" if that is the case.
The interview was on a Tuesday, he brought the paper to them on Thursday and they took his passport and said they would call him to pick it up, and Monday the next week he was called to pick up his passport w/ visa and the "mysterious brown package." Remember, don't open it, they want to do that at POE. It would suck for someone to open it before POE and be denied entry.
Still not pleased about how the consulate was closed for 50 days after our case was sent to them and we didn't know they were reopening until several hours before they opened. But they were ready to work and they swifty began. Interviews during the closure were rescheduled, and people whose cases were sitting there for 50 days (like us) got their interview dates - almost with not enough time to have the medical even! I would not be surprised if they have caught up with the case load. Anyone stuck on AP might not have quite the same sensation, though.
So except for the 50 days closed which I guess couldn't be helped, we had a good experience with casa.
