Hey All,
Thought to share my overall experience starting from the medical to the Interview!!
So the US EMBASSY has 4 approved medical examination centers in the UAE.I would suggest to go to the NEW MEDICAL CENTER either in Abu-Dhabi or Dubai as its affordable and dont go to the mideast polyclinic coz they will squeeze u like anything. At first i booked an appointment in mideast and they told me the total charge just for the medical examination is 1200 dhs (am not sure if its 1100 or 1200 dont remember) and for each vaccinations they will charge me 230 dhs per vaccinations so in total u guys r looking anywhere near 1900 dhs in total for the medical (A Good VJer shed me light on NMC thanks Deathraaki u just saved my 1000 dhs ).Now NMC they charge u only like 530 dhs for the medical and 360 dhs for the vaccinations so in total its lyk 890 dhs for medical. So there u go 1000dhs saved.
There is one more hospital which is Oasis Hospital in Al AIN am note sure how much they charge as i didn't call em.
About the medical.
Don't bring in any vaccination records which doesn't have the exact date of the prior vaccination records i had the records which had all the months but not the date so they asked me to take the vaccination anyway.
Now to the tests and vaccinations...
They take your chest xray, blood sample, eye sight, weight & height. For me it was 3 vaccinations which i don't remember but what i do remember is that one of vaccinations might make u sick as don't even ask. Two days i was bedridden body was paining like anything and fever.( I am a well built guy normally i don't get any disease or anything but this vaccination took a toll on me) third day i was fine..
Now to the examination....
The doctor asked me like 20-30 questions which i answered no and i don't even know what he asked and then he had a physical body examination. (pm me if u need to get in depth details.)
So there u go medical done..
Now to the BIG DAY the interview...
I reached the embassy by 7.30 i think though there wont be a lot of people on the outside the embassy just get inside and u can literally see a bunch the embassy was crowded ok anyways. so outside the embassy u have to show ur interview appointment letter and passport and u will get entry into the embassy.
First thing is the security check which they ask to remove anything metal from your body including wallets belts ( a normal airport check) if u have a phone they will store it for u and Give u a token no for the phone. I don't think they will store your baggage for u if u have any. Once through the security gate its fairly straight to the actual embassy. Inside u r greeted with a security they ask for the interview and passport letter give them they will assign u to the correct place depending on if its an immigrant or non immigrant visa.
No matter how early u come the counters wont open until 8 but the good thing if u come early is that u will get a token number as they call u in a sequential order. so if u come by 7 u get an early token number but have to wait an additional 1hr at the embassy .
There are 12 counters and the 12th counter is the interview room.
Once the counters opened officers started to come in and i was waiting for my turn around 9.15 i think my number got called and i went there he took my interview letter and my passport and asked me to go the other counter to get my fingerprints done. Once my fingerprints where done we had to wait outside the 12th counter which is actually a room there actually i had to wait almost 2 and half hrs the time in btw where the most frustrating time i had ever in my life tbh thinking about various stuffs.besides u dont have anything else to do than think.... There is a coffee table near by u can go and buy one but its costly around 10 dhs for a simple black coffee i would have gone to starbucks instead if i had an option.
At around 11.20 my token number got called entered to the room...
The VO was a lady greeted me with a nice smile...
She gave me like two documents one was about the conditions for CR1 when u have to remove it and the other one was a leaflet... and then she asked me to keep my right fingers on the scanner taking an oath what ever i say is true to the best of my knowledge...
She asked me like 4 questions.
1. How did we meet ?
2. What is she doing there?
3. What was i doing in england?
4. What did i do?
Answered all then she took a pink slip and told me u can collect ur visa on After this tuesday (06-10-2015) and told me good luck.
Interview was done in less than 5mints.
and i got out of the embassy...
There u go folks that was my experience....
MSG ME IF U HAVE ANY ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS. EVEN THOUGH I HAVE MENTIONED EVERYTHING!!
UPDATE:JUST CHECKED STATUS AND FOUND OUT THE VISA HAS BEEN ISSUED NOW ALL I HAVE TO DO IS GO AND COLLECT THE VISA !!
INTERVIEW WAS YESTERDAY VISA ISSUED TODAY SUPER HAPPY!!
