We had an appointment at 12:30 and they called us in about 5 minutes late ( so not bad)
Our officer was called Joseph, and he ask for both our ID's, keeping my passport asside. We had to take an oath and he reminded us that everything was recorded and everything we said could be used against the immigration process. ( Felt kindda akward, but I guess that's a procedure.)
He took my case file and asked me they whole list of questions about criminal charges and asked me if I wanted to change anything on the submitted list.
Than he needed my husband and sponsors new affadavit and employment letters( both have new jobs).
He needed the 2006 tax return, we didn't have yet at the time of submitting for AOS.
He asked us where we did get married, who was present, if we did have a honeymoon and where we stayed. When I entered the US, if I had an SSN ( did not, but was no problem).
He than gave me the passport back, with NO stamp and told us, because we are married less than 2 years we I would get restricted residency. That the card would take 2-3 months, but he heard the average had it within 2 weeks.
I asked him if I could travel or needed to file or request for permmission and he said I was free to travel where ever I wanted, I only needed to file to lift conditions 90 days prior to the expiration of the green card. he gave us all the priginals back. That's all.
Very pleasant, but nerve wracking experience.
He didn't say anything about me being approved, he just stood up and opened the door.
