Phoenix AZ | Review on September 16, 2015: | Blake and Ana

Rating: | Review Topic: Adjustment of Status
Ana and I had an 11:30 appointment. We arrived at 11:00 and waited in line at the reception area. We provided our NOA and our IDs and were told to drop off our paperwork and that they would call our name.
We dropped off our paperwork at around 11:15 and waited roughly an hour before they called our name. The wait was unbearable.
The interview itself was very straight forward. We had brought copies of all of our paperwork but they didn't really need to see much of it (since we had already submitted it through the K1 and AOS application process). We provided Ana's passport and they asked for some proof of ongoing relationship (examples included joint checking accounts, shared lease, etc.). The examples we provided were joint insurance (auto, health, life) which was sufficient.
We were each asked questions about the other person but we weren't separated (we were both in the room at the time of the questioning). Some of the questions included the names of each other's parents, birth city, birth date, current job/career, etc. The questions were easy. We were told that the application was approved and that we'd receive the card in the mail. Given that we've been married less than 2 years, it was a conditional card but that we can remove the condition by submitting additional paperwork once we've been married for 2 years.
Overall, it was an easy experience. The waiting room was the hardest part.
