I had my K1 Visa Interview on Thursday and I was approved.
The appointment was at 7:45 and my Fiance joined me for the interview, which was a great support for me.
We got parking directly in front of the embassy and had a backup plan for parking at LIDL or REWE close by.
K1 is treated like an immigrant visa so we had to go to window 1. There is a guy in front of the embassy telling you which line to stand in and some additional information. At the window we received a number. After that we went through the security to the main building. At the entrance we got a information letter and were sent to window 22. They wanted the passport and the confirmation of payment with the delivery address for the visa on it. Then we had to sit down and they called our number to a different window were they did a document checked and asked two question to make sure everything is correct.
Then there was some waiting again until we got called to the next window where the consul talked to us. It was a very friendly woman and the first thing she said "I assume that is your fiancé and not a guy you just picked up in the waiting hall" It was nice from her to joke about this. The questions were
- where did you meet
- did you start dating right away
- what is his job
--> Congratulations your visa is approved and will be sent to you in 7-10 business days
