I start by saying God be given all the Glory.
We started this heart blowing & blood pressure fiancé journey project September 6 2014, with filling of our I-129F.
Got there around 6.30am for my 7am interview on 27th August, 2015. I went through the conventional security checks until I got into the visa hall where I had the longest wait to be interviewed. The whole process lasted 5hours 15minutes for me while the interview by a young beautiful all smiles lady lasted for 7minutes. the general interview saw a lot approved but few denied. minute number on AP. for those I saw and witnessed.
The 7minutes interview:
CO: Good morning
ME: Good morning
CO: Who petitioned you?
ME: Gave her name
CO: Who is she to u?
ME: My fiancé
CO: How did u meet?
ME: Met 2ru her brother-in-law my friend
CO: How?
ME: When my fiancé's sister visited her husband in Nigeria
CO: When did u propose to her
ME: Told her
CO: What does she do?
ME: Told her
CO: Did she say yes immediately?
ME: No
CO: When did she say yes?
ME: The following day
CO: What are your wedding plans?
ME: Light ceremony-get our marriage license, church wedding, reception and honey moon.
CO: Honey moon where?
ME: Told her
CO: wow....
ME: unhhmmmmm
CO: What do u do?
ME: Told her
CO: Is that why u are this organized? u are very organized
ME: Thank u
CO: Congratulations.. I am approving your visa
ME: Thank you. and I hurried off before she changes her mind.
Lessons to learn:
1. Don't let anyone infuse fear into u before your interview
2. Smile and laugh smile and laugh ON YOUR INTERVIEW DAY. It relaxes u
3. Please organize your documents & dress simple. There is a pass mark for it
4. Look directly into the CO's eye balls too. They get nervous too
5. Mind u, they are lie-detectives. Be real Be courageous and Be confident.
6. Above all: IS ONLY GOD WHO MAKES IT HAPPEN. Start with God, go through with Him and sure He will end with u. BUT, if u didn't start with Him, its NOT late to hook on with Him now. I CONFESS TO U THAT GOD GAVE ME THE VISA. YOU CANT BE TOO PREPARED FOR THE CONSULATE. THATS WHAT THEY DO AND LEAVE ON. ALL U NEED IS GOD WHEN U HAVE DONE YOUR PART SINCERELY.
