My wife arrived at the embassy in Managua a bit early, showed her letter of appointment for 7:30am and was seen promptly. She was well prepared for the interview and asked basic questions about how we met, my trips to Costa Rica and Nicaragua with her, the wedding in Managua. The Nicaraguan conducting the interview was nice, asked to see any photos and she showed them about 15 photos of us together on trips, the wedding, etc. He asked for any other documents or evidence of our marriage and suggested my sending her financial support. She showed him some of the receipts she had from Western Union and MoneyGram. She had a printout of 6 pages of cell phone text messages from me to her but he did not ask for anything else so she did not offer those. After what was about a 30 minute interview he said she was approved and would receive an email with information about how to receive her visa via Cargo Express. She lives in Leon, Nicaragua and it was nice that the visa was safely sent to Leon where she picked it up one week exactly after the interview and approval. She said everyone at the embassy treated her nicely, no problems. I may be able to add some more information after we finally meet in person when she arrives in the US in about a month. I will add that the information on this website was very valuable and helpful for us in the entire process!
