Rating: | Review Topic: K1 Visa
My fiance arrived there at 0930 and waited with a bunch of other people waiting to enter the consulate, they checked her appointment confirmation and checked her bag (just a simple plastic one with all the documentation). She didn't bring a cell phone or even a belt, so once they started letting people in, it was pretty fast.
She was instructed to go to the area where they handle K-1 visas (and other immigrant visa types presumably), and after they took her paperwork, they had her sit in the hallway there until she was called up for her interview. I believe she mentioned it took about an hour before she was called.
The interview itself was fast, just simple questions about our relationship, how we met, if we had a date for the wedding yet, etc. The consular officer did read through our (very trimmed down, but still ~100 pages worth of) emails/whatsapp chat logs, but not super carefully, just to get a gist of what they contained I guess. She then said the visa was approved and gave an estimate on when it would arrive and with that she was done!
Pretty good experience overall
