I have a lot of bones to pick with this consulate.
- Long wait. Our appointment was at 8:30. They called us around 10:30.
- You have to be sitting. I got tired of sitting after an hour, got up to stretch my legs, and they told us to sit back down.
- HORRIBLE interviewer. She was incredibly mean. Maybe she was having a bad day, but it makes me so angry that careless, mean people are allowed to decide the fates of others based on their own personal moods.
I, the petitioner, was there with my husband. The speaker didn't work very well. I asked her to speak louder and she said "Well these questions aren't for you" really rudely. Well if I couldn't hear the question, how was I supposed to know it wasn't for me?
So, our visa was rejected, and she didn't even tell us that, or why. When we were done, she told us to wait for the guy at the other desk. I asked if we were accepted or rejected, she said go to the guy at the other desk. Then the guy at the other desk said "She didn't tell you you were rejected? Or why?" And went to talk to her, and HE HAD TO ASK HER WHY WE WERE REJECTED.
She was just mean. She typed up a paper of missing documents, with 3 missing pieces. 2 of them were not our fault, and one of them we already submitted, and I told the other clerk. He said ok, just leave it there. But the interviewer...if she had just ASKED US about these documents, or told us ANYTHING AT ALL, I would have shown her that we submitted them. THEY WERE IN THE PACKET SHE WAS HOLDING. But she didn't, and obviously didn't look through any of my carefully organized (AND LABELED) documents with a table of contents stating that the missing papers were RIGHT THERE. I put a TON of effort into this visa, labeling everything like an idiot to make these people's lives easier, but apparently they don't care.
I cried a lot afterwards.
P.S. The was the one with deformed (short) arms. The other interviewed seemed kind of nice, but this is in retrospect.
