I had my interview on May 7, 2015 at 8:30. I arrived there at 8 because I didn't know how bad the line would be. From past experience I know they are very strict about how many people can be inside the building at the same time because of fire safety. MAKE SURE YOU STAND IN THE LINE FOR IMMIGRANT PETITION AND NOT NON_IMMIGRANT. There will be two poles: one yellow and one red. Stand by the yellow one. If you're in something that looks like a bus stop, you're in the wrong line for the K1 visa.
I only waited maybe 5 minutes before I was called up to the security where I had to show them my passport, stand behind a yellow line, turn around and show them the bottom of my shoes. I was let in and was asked to put all my things in the bin. Remember that you will make their job much easier if you don't bring your cell phones. They're not permitted. They do have a tiny storage space there so I got a receipt for picking up my car keys and Fitbit at the end of my visit.
Went through the x-ray and got my files with paper and was told to follow the yellow line up to the building and tell the guard I was there for an Immigrant visa. The guard told me to walk up to window G. A Swedish man asked for my papers one by one and checked it off from a checklist. I got the pamphlet about domestic violence and was told to read it while I was waiting for my interview.
At around 8:40 my name was called and I got to go to window D where I was interviewed by a woman. I got to swear an oath, leave my fingerprints and confirm that I had read and understood the pamphlet about domestic violence.
I then got asked how, when and where me and my fiance had met. How far into my stay in the USA I had met him. If we had lived together. How long have we been together? When did I leave the US? She asked if he had visited Sweden. When did I intend to go the states? What are our wedding plans?
After that she told me I would receive my visa in 10-14 days and to have a good day.
