Guayaquil, Ecuador | Review on April 28, 2015: | Sucre_86
Rating: | Review Topic: K1 Visa
I had been stressing about the K-1 process for over 6 months and I'm happy to say this part of our journey is over!! My fiancé had his interview about two weeks ago in Guayaquil and was APPROVED! After reading several consulate reviews I was super nervous about the interview, so I decided I (USC) would be present…and I'm glad I was. I think that made our case stronger, although I saw one guy get approved without. Interview was straight forward 4 questions at the first window 4 questions at the second window.
At the first window we were asked
1. how did you meet?
2. Whats dates did you serve in the Peace Corps in Ecuador.
3. After your service how many times have you seen each other.
4. Do you have any current visas to the US? (asked my fiancé)
Then the wait for another 1hr or so…. then the second round of questions.
1. How did you meet?
2. Are guys going to have civil or clerical marriage?
3. How many times have you gone to the U.S.? (asked my fiancé)
4. last time you went how long did you stay for?
Then you handed us a green/blue paper and said CONGRATS YOU'RE APPROVED!!! She also handed us the stack of evidence I had originally submitted with the 1-129 petition in the States. She was super nice even mentioned liking our photos and pointed out her favorite one that made her laugh. Great experience over all and not traumatizing in the least bit.
