I had my interview today at 8:30 AM.
I arrived to the embassy at 8 AM because I wanted to be early, when I showed up they asked me to stand by the yellow pole and wait to be called in to security, this took about 2-3 mins.. Once I got called they asked me if I had a cellphone or any other electronics on me, I told them no ( In the email it says that you should not bring any electronics of cellphones, BUT they DO have a storage space for you to put your cellphone in, so you CAN actually bring it. )
I had to show them my passport, and then I got let in and it was like a regular xray like you go through at airports. Super easy.
Once I entered the primary building, I went to window G ( Note, this is at around 8:10 AM and I had my appointment at 8:30 and they still let me go through and start the process ), the lady asked me a few questions: Is the co-sponsor my wife's mother, How long have me and me wife been together, When did my wife move to Sweden, If I was ever convicted or been in the military.
She then took my evidence packet along with the choice of address slip I printed out and my passport and told me to have a seat again and wait for my name to be called.
A nice young woman called me up to window F at around 8:45 AM
She had me say the oath, and put my fingers for fingerprints. She only asked me 2 questions:
When did I meet my wife
Why do I want to move to the U.S
She went through my evidence packet that I brought to the interview, it contained:
14-15 pictures of me and my wife, some with other family members and some when we travelled, and the others were just selfies of the 2 of us )
Affidavits from my mother, and a letter from my wifes mother that we have an apartment waiting for us when we arrive.
Joint-bank account statement
E-mail logs dated from 2007-2015
Flight tickets ( printed out from my email )
The interview took 3-4 mins and she then said that I was approved and that they will send my passport ASAP.
Overall a VERY good experience.. I was so nervous so I over thought everything, I thought my evidence wouldn't be good enough and that I might have forgotten something, but nope!
SUPER SMOOTH! By far the easiest part of the whole journey.
SO for all the people that's waiting for their interview, RELAX they are super friendly and they don't bite
