DONE, PERFECT AND VISA APPROVED..!!!
This is are datails of what happened this morning..we got there at 8am for our 8:45am appointment but the consulate was overruned with many US visa seekers..we got approved by 12:30pm after the regular documents check and normal questionning by officers and clerical employees..
In our case ..there were two specific questions.. what type of work petitioner was doing which was reflected in my Income Tax and because we got religiously married a year ago.. the asked if both of us were of the same church denomination.
After that the interviewer was very much interested in knowing on how we meet, if our family was ok with the relationship...and at the end..the officer explained about domestic violence, which in US is very different than in any other country and blah ..blah..blahhh...
my advise to future applicants are.. get at least an hour early of your interview, be ready with the documents they ask.. and also.. bring pictures, and pictures and pictures of you and your fiance(e) with families, with friends.. I noticed that they questioned other candidates how the communicate with each other.. whatsapps, Skipe, telephone, texts. etc..
It does not hurt to bring as much as you can. In our case, we brought, pictures, telephone statements, Money transfers receipts, email records, and three Affidavits of Supports..including a letter for services rendered to an NGO for which both of us have been working for more than 8 years in Peru. I believe that letter impressed on them of our real commitment to each other and to the community we live.
I am very well allaround knowledgeable of these type of interviews so I filled the void of my fiance inexperience. Still I copy and paste in sheets, most of Peru postings in VJ about K 1 s and read them loud to my fiance, and explained her what it meant each of the statements.
VJ is a great place for all of us.. and I want to thank the creators, designers and hosting persons for giving, such a wonderful help..!!
