In a nutshell...After waiting 2h in the waiting area finally they called my number. The consul lady greeted me with a big smile and congratulated on upcoming marriage. I need to admit that I was a tad nervous. I came across some posts here on VJ about red flags and nontraditional marriages. My fiance is African-American and older by 15 years so I wasn't really sure how they will look at this. Any of these concerns has been brought up during the interview. The consul asked following questions:
- how we met and what happened after
- what did I do in the US in 2006 and where I lived
- was anyone of us married before
- how many kids he has from previous marriage
- what does he do for a living
- what did I do in Ireland (I lived there for 4 years)
- when am I planning on leaving
At the end she took my old passport with valid tourist visa and put a stamp '' visa revoked without prejudice'' then she congratulated on my visa approval and wished me all the best.
So overall it was a pleasant experience that lasted around 5 minutes
