Review Topic: K1 Visa

My fiancee's Visa appointment was at 7:30AM. We showed up at 6AM and stood in line. Around 6:30AM they started calling people with appointments up to 8:00AM. We walked in to the front of the embassy and they gave us the "schpeel" about what not to bring in. (Nu weapons, Cells, USB, CD,etc..) After about 30 minutes they let in the people with appoints up to 8:45AM... waited in line and they checked to make sure we had an appointment. We sat in the benches outside till they started to let us in through security.

Once inside the embassy there is a line of people waiting to be fingerprinted and they are waiting for their passports to be handed back to them (K1 Visa applicants keep their passports at all times) So when you get inside the embassy and see the line walk ahead to the front and take a number (between windows 10 and 11) Take a seat and they will call they number... you then hand over all the documentation they ask for. Once they have everything they need they will have you go pay for the Visa and come back with the receipt. After you give the same person your receipt you sit down again and then they will call you by your name... That will be your interview. I heard that they do not allow petitioners to accompany the beneficiary but they let me interview with her. He asked us how we met. And about my job and my divorce... That's all He said we are approved

All in all the staff at this embassy were very professional and courteous. We did not have one negative thing to say abour my experience here.

If you are applying for a K1 visa in Venezuela feel free to email me emurillo@gmail.com and I will help you through the process so that you have a pain free experience as I did.
