Arrived at the office 30 minutes early (9am for a 9:30am interview) with my wife. Checked in at security, got screened and sent straight to level 2. Checked in with security on level 2 who checked off my name and asked me to take a seat. The security officer took my letter and placed it on a board behind door C.
We waited 10 minutes and were called by a 30 something male. He greeted us and took us to his office/interview room. He asked us to raise our hands and gave us the oath. We did not have to stand as my wife was pregnant.
He went on to ask a number of questions like Name, Address etc. The address was wrong in the file as we had moved. This was updated prior to the interview through the online form but the file had not been updated. Obviously the file had been sitting at the office for a while.
After that he went through a few questions like had i been arrested. An interesting one was had i ever been pulled over in America? Then he moved onto my military experience. He said he had served himself. He asked if i had weapons experience and had i ever killed anyone?
After that he asked for some photos. We had a printed copy of photos from when we met through to now. He was interested in any documentation for the unborn baby. We had nothing as he had not yet been born and nothing had a name on it obviously.
As a last thing and afterthought almost he asked if we had any documents with joint names. We gave him a car loan, bank and insurance documents. He said utility, phone and cable were no good as anyone can get that.
That was it. He said he would need to check on my military history to see if anything else was needed. Saying he did not like to keep files longer than 30 days.
He showed us out and bid us farewell. The whole process took 30 minutes including security and waiting. We were in and out by 9:30am the actual interview time.
We were thinking we would have to wait a while for a request for info about more of my military history. At 2:30pm i received the update text and email saying the card was in production.
