My partner had the medical exam and the ASC appointment yesterday and everything went well. He used the CMI clinic, the Clinica Medica Internacional, and made an appointment beforehand for 8 30 in the morning. Those with appointments got in to see the Doctor faster so I would recommend making an appointment. The exam was just like many others have said, an X ray, blood test and a discussion with the doctor. Because my partner has never used drugs, has no tatoos or piercings and has never been arrested, it went fast. He did not have to give a urine sample nor see a psychologist. He was out within an hour or so, so we were very pleased. The doctor was very nice and treated him with respect. Because he is applying for a K'1 fiance visa, he did not have to have any vaccinations at this time. That comes later. Overall a good experience. Whatever you do, do not lie, yes you probably already know this. He believes that some of the questions are designed to see if you are telling the truth, so that is what you should do.
The appointment with ASC went well. There is a big digital clock in the window of the office where you go to have your fingerprints and photos made and it tells you when you can enter. The clock is updated every 10 minutes. Do not try to go in beforehand because they check your appointment letter. Also because they are very strict on what you can take in, such as no cell phones, it is helpful to have someone with you to hold these things while you are inside. And make sure you have your confirmation letter of the appointment and the confirmation page of the form 160. and your passport of course. Here they give you all of your documents back to you. All in all, it takes about 20 minutes once you go inside the door. Here, if you have your documents in order, you have nothing to worry about. Easy.
I will update after the interview tomorrow.
