Hi,
Here is my AOS interview experience. We had appointment for 12:45 PM. Reached at 12:30. At the entrance guard saw our appointment letter and passports. Security was airport like. I had remove belt and shoes and go through xray.
We were asked to go to 2nd floor room 200. When we went there receptionist took our appointment letter and asked us to wait near door C. There are several doors in the waiting are A, B,C..F etc. After about 20 minutes, a lady called my name and we were led to a room.
She asked us to raise right hand and take oath of honesty. She then asked for passports. I noticed that already had our entire K1 petition on desk.
She first asked how we first met, how relationship grew, when did we get married. Then she asked my wife why your parents did not attend. My wife explained the reasons. Then she asked for SSN, EAD. Then she said you do not have birth certificate although since 1970 it is mandatory to have birth certificate in India. I told her that my parents did not know how to register it and that I have submitted affidavits from relatives and non availability certificate from municipal corporation. She said show me some other documents related to your marriage. I showed her wedding album. she randomly picked 4 pictures and asked me to identify people in those.
Then she asked where did you go for honeymoon and why that place. Then she asked where was our last trip together.
Then she asked whats one thing you wish you had known about each other before marriage. She she read out about 10-15 questions such as were you involved in political activities etc.
After this she handed us a later which said we will receive a decision in about 120 days. We thanked her and she escorted us out.
After about two hours status changed to card production on USCIS site.
