First of all, I have to admit it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. Nothing to be afraid of if you have nothing to hide. Embassy staffs and officers were all nice.
I came on the front gate at 11.50 am, my scheduled was 12.30 pm. Told the lady guard what my purpose was, she told me to go back again at 12.15 pm. She appointed a place where to wait as long it isn't on the front gate. In this case it was a police station parking lot next to the Embassy building.
At 12.15 we were on queue and had a security check when we allowed to get into the main entrance. They kept all electronic devices including cell phone, power bank, earphone, charger.
At window 5 the lady asked for required documents. My interview turn was at 3.30 pm as there were 3 more interviews prior to mine. Officer took my oath, fingerprints and asked me things such as:
1. How did I meet my husband.
2. Explain the relationship afterwards.
3. Was our marriage held a year after our first meeting.
4. Why do I intend to immigrate now while our marriage was on 2011.
5. Who is my husband's sister.
6. My occupation and how long I worked overseas.
After that he returned all my original documents including my passport and asked me to obtain a police certificate that covers the time I worked overseas. He also asked me to get employment letter from my husband company that stating his annual income as he just started working with the company for 7 months and doesn't have his tax return yet.
He told me once I have all the required documents I have to drop it off at drop off office including my passport and he will give the visa in my passport.
Embassy is using RPX for handling the documents, visa and immigrant package.
It was a nerve wrecking experience but it was good.
