My fiance ended up getting there at 7am and said most of the other people had already been let in. He was number 41 of 50. He finally got called inside around 8 and then had to wait, watching the same CNN news until 12:30. Once he was actually in the interview he was really only asked two questions: 1. How did we meet? and 2. Did I have any sort of visit to my house last year (had exchange students living here)? He was then told he was approved and asked where we would live and if we were from the same church. The man was nice he said. My fiance was surprised that it was so fast, but attributed it to all the preparation paperwork, proof and documentation we had. It was a great outcome, so hard to be upset with the embassy. Waiting is common practice in Cuba, though not desired. He does however have to go back to get the visa on Monday after his Thursday interview because some machine broke. But soon he will be on his way here.
