Tokyo, Japan | Review on December 4, 2014: | Dee&Cee
Rating: | Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
I had my interview in Tokyo at December 1st. It's rain at that day , Im the first person arrived at embassy at 7am and my appointment at 08.45 . Finally when I can going inside they check my belongings, leave the umbrella outside and all going under x-ray, they also keep my cellphone.
And in the other building there is a women who give clear folder to keep the paperwork and when going inside the room another woman give the waiting number.
I got second number cause somebody running faster than me, but it doesnt matter cause even I got second number later my interview is slower than the other.
After they told me to put the birthcertf, passport, photo and Affidavit Of Support paperwork and letterpack plus in the clear folder , my number get called.
There is a big screen that show which number in which counter.
First I have to give my paperwork to the nice pretty lady in counter 3 and she asking how do I meet my husband and where is he, and then she check my paperwork and told me to pay the fee in the cashier counter and going back to give the receipt to her.
And the after that it takes like 2 hours (I saw many people who coming after me done their finger print and interview , mostly Japanese ppl)javascript:emoticon('')
I understood they might need more time to check my paperwork cause Im foreigner in here.
After almost 2 hours I got call again to counter number 1 with a Japanese lady who asking what Im doing in Japan. nt in another counter with another lady. Waiting for several minutes and they call my number again for interview. Im taking an oath before my interview. The interview itself really easy only asking who is my husband, story how we met, when and where we married, did I/he met our parents, what I want to do after arrive in the states.
The gentlement who interview me then said "Your visa is approved" and I just like "oww, thank you so much" and he give back almost my paperwork instead the Affidavit Of Support and Passport and he said I will received my passport within a week.
And He remind me that I must arrived at states before my medical record expired.
Im out of embassy around 11.30.
My Ceac status change from Ready to Issued in the next day (night) and they send my passport at 3rd. javascript:emoticon('')
And I received my package today but not open it yet since Im waiting to my husband to only on skype :P
The letterpackplus seems lilbit rip of in both of top corner since the packages is so thick and today is rain so its lilbit wet.
But it doesnt matter for me cause I will be with my husband again soon!!
